New Semester Checklist
As a new or returning student enrolled in GenEdWeb courses, you will receive an orientation letter with a list of your online courses, your UMM Student ID number, and your UMM Internet ID and E-mail account. Please refer to your orientation letter as needed during your online orientation. This orientation will take about 45 minutes to complete, and is required for all students who are new to GenEdWeb.
Step 1: New students
- Initiate your UMM Internet ID and E-mail account
Refer to your orientation letter for your Student ID number (7 digits) and your UMM Internet / E-mail ID. During the account initiation process, you will choose a password that will be used with your Internet / E-mail ID to access online course materials and your UMM E-mail account.
- After you initiate your UMM e-mail account, check your e-mail several times a week for messages from your GenEdWeb instructor. All GenEdWeb students (even non-UMM students) are required to check their UMM e-mail account while enrolled in a GenEdWeb online course.
