Minnesota History
Minnesotans often refer to a series of stereotypes—that
they like their hot dish bland, their bars sweet, their coffee
weak and their politics clean—in defining themselves.
But who are Minnesotans really and how, if at all, are they
unique? This course goes beyond the stereotypes and seeks
to understand the nature of the state’s exceptionalism
by examining the broader cultural, social and political history
of Minnesota.
